Frequently Asked Questions

How does Polymint work?

Minting has two parts. First, you mint an NFT whose artwork is algorithmically generated and automatically updates as the odds change for the Polymarket event you chose. In the optional second phase, you can buy and deposit actual Polymarket outcome tokens into the NFT.

Who owns the underlying Polymarket outcome tokens?

Only the NFT owner can manage deposited Polymarket tokens. The Polymint team has no access to any deposited tokens and cannot lock or restrict access to your NFT.

How do I withdraw Polymarket tokens back to my account?

Go to your NFT's detail page, connect the wallet that owns the NFT, and click "Withdraw." The tokens are sent directly back to your connected wallet, which you can then use on Polymarket.

How quickly does the image update?

Usually within 3 minutes after the market odds shift. Not every small movement triggers a regeneration — typically a 5–10% change is needed to produce a new image.

What happens when a market resolves?

Once the Polymarket event resolves, your NFT artwork freezes at its final state reflecting the outcome. If you deposited outcome tokens and the outcome is in your favor, you can withdraw the winning proceeds.

Can I bundle multiple markets into one NFT?

Yes — each Polymint NFT can bundle up to 5 Polymarket outcome tokens. The generated artwork reflects all bundled positions together.

What blockchain is Polymint on?

Polymint NFTs are ERC-721 tokens on Polygon, the same chain Polymarket uses. Gas fees are minimal.

Do I need a Polymarket account to mint?

No. You only need a wallet (e.g. MetaMask) on Polygon. A Polymarket account is only needed if you want to deposit outcome tokens into your NFT.

How is the art style chosen?

Each NFT's art style is deterministically derived from its token ID and the outcome tokens it contains. The style is fixed at mint — only the scene changes as odds shift.

Can I sell or transfer my NFT?

Yes. Polymint NFTs are standard ERC-721 tokens and can be transferred or sold on any Polygon-compatible NFT marketplace. Any deposited Polymarket tokens travel with the NFT.
